We've recently added some new case notes and updated others as cases have resolved.

A new case against Ed Sheeran's song Shape Of You is reported here, brought by Sami Switch and his song Oh Why.

Sheeran also featured as a songwriter in a case between Jasmine Rae's song When I Found You, and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's The Rest Of Our Lives. This case was reported as settled recently, though with no details and no apparent changes to shares in the royalty payments.

Still undecided is the case between Marvin Gaye's estate and Ed Sheeran between the songs Let's Get It On and Thinking Out Loud, with a US jury set to decide.

Damages in the Eminem case were reduced by an appeal court from $600k NZD to $225k, and the NZ Supreme Court did not overturn this ruling.

A ruling is also expected in 2020 in the long-running case between Spirit and Led Zeppelin, of which a good summary is available in Rolling Stone magazine here.
