Ed Sheeran has featured in two high-profile claims that were decided in the UK and US respectively in 2022 and 2023.

Sheeran also featured as a songwriter in a case between Jasmine Rae's song When I Found You, and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's The Rest Of Our Lives. This case was reported as settled recently, though with no details and no apparent changes to shares in the royalty payments.

A jury decision has also been given in the case between Marvin Gaye's estate and Ed Sheeran between the songs Let's Get It On and Thinking Out Loud, with a US jury deciding.
